Criminal Activity in North Bedford

There has been an increase in burglaries over the last couple of months in the Northern Wards of Bedford, particularly Newnham, Goldington, Putnoe, Brickhill and Harpur.

Whilst investigations are ongoing, Bedfordshire Police would like to ask residents to spend a few minutes reviewing their home security. A help sheet can be downloaded here:- Home Security Checklist

Please also look out for your elderly and vulnerable neighbours, who may not receive BedsAlert. The Bobby Scheme can help elderly and vulnerable people by visiting and carrying out security improvements. Please call 01234 842619 for further information.

Finally, if you have witnessed anything suspicious - a person or vehicle that looks out of place - please report it on 101 with as much detail as possible. If a crime is being committed or a person is in danger, please call 999 immediately.
